Doha: Based on the cabinet’s latest decision to curb the spread of COVID-19, the Private Education Department in the Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that it will allow the resumption of activities in licensed educational and training centres under several conditions, namely, allowing licensed special educational and training centres to provide their services with no more than 30% of the capacity, with all staff starting work at these centres completing the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and the rest of staff to work remotely.

Among the conditions include the continuation of permitting educational sessions to be held in centers for people with special needs that are licensed and valid, with a maximum of 5 people per session, provided that all employees who start work in these centers are fully vaccinated.

The circular stipulated that it will be implemented from tomorrow, Sunday, May 30, 2021, until further notice. This is in accordance with health requirements, precautionary measures, controls set by the Ministry of Public Health and guidance issued by the higher authorities in Qatar.
