Qatar National Tourism Council, in partnership with United Development Company (UDC), will bring together leading Qatari designers and luxury fashion brands for the country’s first virtual fashion show.

The event will inspire audiences with stunning original designs from Qatar-based creatives and leading retail stores while delivering an unforgettable experience to viewers from the comfort of their homes.

Staged at The Pearl-Qatar, one of the country’s most emblematic locations, the virtual fashion show will be broadcast live from QNTC social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Live tomorrow (August 6) at 9pm.

The show will highlight the original creations of five brands –The Project, Per Lei Couture, Ashwa Fashion and Youssef Al Jasmi – in the ready-to-wear, men’s wear and evening wear categories, along with the abaya brand Shades.

The fashion show is part of the Qatar Summer Program, a vibrant line-up of offers and activations arranged by QNTC for residents to enjoy during the summer holidays. The show will incorporate the latest in virtual technology, giving viewers the feel of a live experience, and will reflect the wealth of creativity Qatar has to offer.

It complements QNTC’s continuous efforts to support the burgeoning fashion industry in Qatar through events such as the Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, and Design District at Shop Qatar.

The Qatar Summer Programme is organised in collaboration with QNTC’s partners from across the public and private sectors. It brings residents a wide range of hospitality deals at more than 40 establishments across the country, including discounts of up to 50% on room bookings, as well as promotions on cultural activities and outdoor adventures such as kayaking, fishing and desert safaris.
