Every day it seems a new unorthodox beauty trend comes about. The beauty market is constantly throwing out products and tools that claim to simplify our makeup routines. Most of these do seem gimmicky, and yet they seem to be all the rage on Instagram and YouTube. Once a product or tool garners enough chatter, it’s all anyone can talk about or test out. One specific product that has been the talk of the social media town for a while now has been brow stamps.

Have you found yourself bouncing back and forth between each brow, trying to get them just right? Chanting to yourself “they’re sisters, not twins”? We’ve all been there. Brows are possible one of the trickiest steps to an entire makeup routine. Eyebrows really frame your face, and it’s a short trip from sharpie brows to bushy slugs.  Finally, a tool has come along to help ensure perfect twin brows every time.

Brow Stamps are a great and not-so-permanent alternative to tattoo or microblading. Essentially, they’re simply what the name would suggest; stamps you can stamp onto your brows to give you identical eyebrows with every use.

Eyebrow stamps work just like any other stamp, you have a sponge in the shape of the perfectly arched brow and then you dip it into some eyebrow powder evenly. Next, you simply stamp them onto your brows and reveal perfect brows, allegedly. We’ve seen hundreds of social media influencers give this trend a try to see if it really works or if it’s simply another gimmicky tool. The verdict has been quite mixed…

The most infamous brow stamp option out there is the 3 Second Brow, which claims as you would assume to give you brows in 3 seconds. All over Instagram you can readily find videos where this tool works perfectly. With every use, the makeup artist is left with perfectly even brows. Usually they’re left having to slightly fill the brows in a bit more after stamping, but it still seems worth trying.

Here’s our biggest problem with the product; shapes. The brow stamp comes with two shape options; structured arch and soft arch. But what about different thicknesses? Or different lengths? No two people’s brows are the same, so it already becomes obvious that this product is not going to work for everyone. You cannot release one universal shape of brow and expect it to work for everyone.

Another even bigger problem is the fact that the powder comes in two colours only. That’s going to be even more difficult to work with. Despite these problems, we do appreciate that this is guaranteed to at least give a good guide to help achieve identical brows. It definitely is not a 3 second brow product, but it can certainly help you start to see what areas you need to fill in and how to perfect your brows.
