I’ve been getting a lot of questions on social media about how I keep my hair healthy, especially since it’s gotten so long and I’ve dyed it so blonde, so I decided to do a post to cover all the products I use and my healthy hair routine!
My hair stylist here in Denver is Riley at Needle in the Hay Salon in Cherry Creek North. When I told him I wanted a lighter, icy blonde but wasn’t willing to sacrifice the health of my hair he assured me that we could get to the shade I wanted without the damage. Riley uses Olaplex professional treatment in salon which helps strengthen hair from within, reducing and preventing breakage.
Then, once a week I sleep in my Olaplex at home treatment. To maintain my blonde I’ve been using this Hot Tresses Indigo Babe Treatment. It helps keep my blonde bright and not brassy and it’s been great for hydration. Why I really love it though is that it is vegan, paraben and sulfate free.
I’ve been using MORROCANOIL Treatment Oil for yearssss. It’s my favorite thing to run through my ends after styling to give it shine, easy the frizz and the smell is soooo good. I was very excited to try their hydrating shampoo and conditioner and it was exactly what the hydration my hair needed.
YOUR TOOLS MATTER!
I’ve always made sure I’m using quality tools that will reduce the damage that heat causes your hair. I was recently sent the T3Micro CURA dryer and I love it! First of all, washing my hair is such an ordeal *insert eye roll* so when it claimed to reduce drying time without causing damage I was like “hallelujah!”. I actually timed it and it reduced my drying time almost by half! It has digitally controlled wide volume of air AND has IonAir technology to help dry your hair quickly and still get soft, healthy, frizz free results. I am also a big fan of the pretty white and rose gold packaging, good product is key but packaging that goes with my overall aesthetic is always an added bonus.
I can’t give myself a good blow out for the life of me so I always reach for the Dry Vent Hair Brush when drying my hair. Also, don’t forget to use a heat protectant and I also swear by the Phyto Volume Spray!
I hope this answered some of your questions about how I maintain my locks but of course if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to comment or reach out on social media!
Always,
Amber
