Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros. Co. (AAB), the exclusive distributor of Toyota and Lexus, kicks off with the first of its series of Community Pallet Recycling activity.  In collaboration with All & About Qatar – a new web portal, the public was invited to participate in the event where they get the chance to build their own furniture out of the excess pallets from AAB.

AAB is fully committed to giving back to the community through its CSR initiatives with one of its major pillars focused on caring for the Environment.  This commitment is reflected on its support to programs geared towards a Green Qatar.

With its principles towards a zero waste policy, AAB has put into place internal sustainable practices such as recycling of excess packaging materials and used tyres.  It has also embarked on establishing the AAB Green Team consisting of AAB employees as its volunteers.  Since its inception, the AAB Green Team has produced useable furniture made up of pallets that are now being used in the various locations of the company as well as tyre planters in some areas of the community.

During the recently held Community Pallet Recycling Event, three Top Designs were chosen as winners out of the 10 participating teams who were assisted by members of the AAB Green Team.   The teams displayed their skills in coming up with creative designs as well as modifying the old prototypes of furniture.
