Today, many people spend their nights at clubs. It is a social, and cultural experience. The sights, sounds, feeling, and overall atmosphere fills the senses with input. Fashion, Class, and music are three factors that make up the club scene.

Here are some of the Nightclubs in Doha that show off the best performance for all. By the way, a footnote; you can drink unlimited in the nightclub as long as you can control yourself. No limitation in the nightclubs at all. But ID or passport need to be submitted. Apart from partying there are certain spots for the foodies to enjoy their night with some yum delicacies.

Oyster Bay Bar

To get that feeling of beach with sand under your feet , light before our eyes and the sound of live reggae in your ears.

Apart from tourists, residents and expatriates too enjoy nightlife in Qatar.

On Thursdays and Fridays a live band from Barbados entertains. Rhesa’s strong voice keeps you grooving until midnight. Tables have a minimum spend of 200QR per person but sunbeds are free. Make sure you reserve but if you forget, lounge chairs are kept on the sides for latecomers. A set Jamaican menu and small snacks are available, but the food leaves much to be desired.

Crystal Lounge

Doha’s only nightclub which opens daily at the W Hotel is a hot spot all week long and DJs from the US and Beirut keep it loud and lively from Thursday until Saturday.

The R&B nights on Tuesdays are the most popular and on Wednesdays it’s Ladies’ Night when only couples or women are allowed entry. Book a booth if you want to sit down but note that these require a minimum spend which is calculated per person. A group of four would require a 800QR spend. A membership fee is charged for non-hotel guests but if you’re staying at the W Hotel you don’t need to be a member and can bring one guest.

Trader Vic’s Lounge

This popular bar connected to the Hilton hotel offers great rum cocktails and a live Cuban band but its real selling point is the outdoor seating beside the sea.

It’s a nice break from the smart, gourmet scene in Doha, but it’s not so relaxed that shorts and flip flops are allowed. It can get busy and service isn’t the quickest so if you sit outside, you may want to order a double round.

The food menu is limited, but you don’t go here for the food. Happy Hour is from 5-8pm daily with beer and house wines at 25QR and 25 per cent off signature cocktails The jalapeño cheese balls is always the best in here. Two rounds of cheese balls is a must.

Strata Lounge

The spectacular take is in West Bay which takes advantage of its height like Strata. Spectacular views of the city skyscrapers can be seen from this bar located on the 56th floor of the InterContinental City Hotel.

Lighting inside is kept dim to better enjoy the panoramic view. It’s not just the lights outside that shine – the mixed drinks here are superb. The music is smooth, the setting luxurious and the vibe relaxed. It’s a great spot for pre-dinner drinks, after dinner drinks, or all evening drinks.

Happy Hour is 6-8pm but only on selected beer and wine and a limited snack menu is available. Eating a juicy steak at Prime, an in-house restaurant on the first floor, before ending the evening is always the best in Strata.

Champions Sports Bar

Champions is the only sports bar in town. If you want to catch your favorite European League or rugby match you’re likely to find it showing on one of the 40 screens here.

But you’ll only get a seat if you arrive hours in advance. The bar is on the second floor of the Marriott Marquis Hotel which is next to City Center Mall. It’s affordable and offers great drinks in town and the food is quite standard. Fish and chips are decent but nachos are the best there. Happy hour is from 5-7pm and a live band every Friday. The air is smoky and chilly and service can be quite well.

  Wahm Poolside Lounge

As with other W Hotels, Wahm sets trends in Doha. It’s always willing to try something new.

Currently, there are private cabanas inside and out, with oriental decor and Arabian-style seating but this will soon give way to a new, open design which will be white, light and airy.

Indoor and outdoor pool seating is available. For now you can enjoy guest DJs from Wednesday to Friday. Happy Hour is from 5-8pm daily with half-price drinks and 20 per cent off the food menu. Happy Saturdays serves Happy Hour at noon and ending at 8pm. Tuesday is Flashback Disco and Saturday is Cocktail Night (buy one, get one free). If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, go on Saturday or Sunday. It’s a popular spot and it can be hard to find a seat but gives a great night life.
