The first edition of the Qatar Balloon Festival will see 30 hot air balloons from across the world filling up the Qatar skies.

The festival that begins on December 7 will continue till 18 has been scheduled to coincide with Gulf Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and Qatar National Day.

According to sources, this hot air balloon fest will be first of its kind in Qatar with lots of activities scheduled to happen at the venue.

The festival to be held at Aspire Park Doha will feature balloon flights at early morning as the sun rises and colour the sky with its different hues, followed by another in late afternoon and at night. At designated sections of the park, a tethered balloon will provide an opportunity for visitors to be among colourful balloons.

Apart from the hot air balloons, there will be food trucks, ground rides and entertainment at the festival.
